Not all the days will be like the one before.
Not all days will be the same.
Not on all days will you be perfect at jobs and chores.
And little tasks for the next day will remain.
The first tea be missed for you woke up late,
The dishes of last night are undone,
And your perfect omelette turned out to be scrambled.
Not all days you want to bathe and look tidy as ever,
Or tuck your shirt in and hair finely parted.
Instead, it's one of those with a dirty sweater you ever hated!
And snacks be spilled all over,
So be laundry loads!
Not all the days you want to dine on perfect crockery,
But probably slurp ten-ounce cheesecake,
And drinks spilled on your dirty upholstery.
Not all days you want to call your lover,
To readdress the vows you claimed.
Instead, you leave the message unread,
And keep the phone on silent
Believing that they didn’t exist.
These days are different,
These days are normal.
And yes, it’s not just a bad day!
Just that it’s not the previous perfect day.
For not all days will be the same.
For not, all the days will be like the one before.
